Shinning a spotlight on filmmaking talent

Ealing is celebrated as one of the birthplaces of the British film industry, with the world-famous Ealing Studios producing dozens of classic movies over the years, including the much-loved Ealing Comedies. Feature films and television programmes continue to be made here today. Our local film festival provides a platform for a new generation of filmmakers eager to make their mark.

When EFF launched in 2020, the first festival had to be held online due to the pandemic and various lockdown restrictions. Since then, the event has expanded rapidly, screening films in local cinemas and at the historic Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. Each year brings more entries from far and wide: dramas, comedies, sci-fi, horror, animation, and documentaries. The range of films is limited only by the imagination of the filmmakers.
